Title

Bombchel Factory Quilt

Description

Quilt made by Ebola survivors working for The Bombchel Factory and Mango Rags boutique in Monrovia, Liberia. Archel Bernard, a native Liberian and graduate of Georgia Tech, is owner of The Bombchel Factory and Mango Rags boutique in Monrovia. According to Archel, her mission in life took a significant turn amid the deadly Ebola outbreak in Liberia: witnessing the devastation in the country she loved, she decided to open a workshop staffed by Ebola survivors. Her colorful fashions and textiles, such as this quilt, have been featured in The New York Times and other publications.
