Description

Dr. Anne E. Purfield, clinical and laboratory research coordinator within the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, briefly reviews her career thus far. She then dives into her work as part of CDC's 2014-16 Ebola epidemic response, for which she was deployed to Kenema, Sierra Leone, from August to September of 2014. Dr. Purfield served as epidemiology team lead in Kenema, although her work came to involve helping Kenema Government Hospital sort out its admissions log book.
